Compact Rain-Bird Irrigation Controller for Indoor and Outdoor Lawns (ESPME3)

The ESP-ME3 irrigation controller from Rain Bird offers the industry's most flexible solution, supporting features such as flow monitoring, LNK WiFi connectivity, and up to 22 stations. To enhance water monitoring and protect against a broken irrigation system, users can install a flow sensor.

One of the key features of the ESP-ME3 is its WiFi Connectivity. By simply plugging in a Rain Bird LNK WiFi Module (sold separately), users can access, operate, and monitor their irrigation system from anywhere. The controller utilizes internet-based weather information to make daily adjustments to the irrigation schedule, resulting in up to 30% water savings.

The ESP-ME3 is compatible with multiple sizes and makes of wired flow sensors, enabling flow monitoring and notifications to help save water and prevent property damage. Additionally, the Bypass Rain Sensor by Station feature allows users to bypass the rain sensor for stations under an eave, deck, or in a greenhouse, ensuring consistent watering.

The Seasonal Adjust by Program feature enables users to save water by changing the seasonal adjust from 5% to 200%, adjusting run times without modifying the scheduled times. The One-Touch Watering function allows users to start manual watering of the current program by simply pressing and holding the right arrow button while the dial is in the AUTO position.

The Contractor Default feature allows users to save a default program, and if the original watering schedule is overwritten in error, it can be easily restored in just two steps. Rain Bird recommends that the maximum irrigation zone cycle time be less than the time required for runoff to begin, and there should be adequate soak time before the next irrigation cycle of that same zone begins again.

The ESP-ME3 offers station timing from 1 minute to 6 hours, and a Seasonal Adjust range of 5% to 200%. It can operate in temperatures up to 149°F (65°C) and is available with 4 to 22 stations, allowing customers to install the same controller on residential and light commercial sites, and add station modules when expanding irrigation without removing or powering down the controller.

Customers can upgrade the ESP-ME3 to a SMART controller by adding the LNK WiFi module and a WR2 rain sensor. The LNK makes programming and monitoring easy through the enhanced Rain Bird app.

The ESP-ME3 comes with a power plug and outdoor cabinet, suitable for indoor or outdoor installation. It can alert users of system issues, including electrical, programming, or high flow (when using a flow sensor), through a red LED and scrolling messages, coupled with mobile device alerts when used with the LNK WiFi Module and the Rain Bird app.

The large text, color-coded dial positions, and a 3-inch back-lit screen make the ESP-ME3 easy to understand and read, even in dark garages or sheds.
